Yusuf Islam, aka Cat Stevens will be touring Australia in November and December on the 50th Anniversary Tour of his first released album, Matthew & Son. The Peace Train Tour will see shows at arenas and park lands across Australia in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Hunter Valley, Sydney and Brisbane. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has 14 studio albums and will tour Australia for the first time since 2010. He will be playing songs old and new, so there will something for everyone to enjoy. Currently he is working on a children’s animation series and his autobiography which should be out in 2018. Cat Stevens Yusuf Islam
Back in 1967, Cat Stevens released his debut album, Matthew & Son. Additionally, Cat Stevens released several more albums up until 1978. In December 1977, Cat Stevens converted to Islam and the following year changed his name to Yusuf Islam. He sold his guitar collection, donating the money to charity and ceased music production. In 2006, he returned to music releasing his first album in 28 years but with the name Yusuf Islam. Since he has released many more albums and singles, while performing on numerous occasions. However, much of the money raised goes to charities.
