Vallis Alps are a Sydney based Electronic Duo. The members are producer David Ansari originally from Seattle in USA and vocalist Parissa Tosif who grew up in Canberra. They first released music in 2015 for JJJ Unearthed releasing the tracks ‘Young’ and ‘Thru’. Young made it into the Hottest 100 of 2015. They backed it up in 2016 with their track ‘Fading’ making the Hottest 100. Having performed at a few of the larger festivals over the summer, they have become a well know artists with many fans. “We’ve decided to release the stems from the Vallis Alps EP.
This decision was made following a conversation we had on the importance of being transparent about our ideas, workflow, and techniques in order to contribute to a more open and collaborative world.
During the recording and mixing of our EP, we watched countless YouTube videos and received advice from many musicians and friends that influenced the style, texture, and instrumentation of our music. It was really empowering for us to learn from others and to hear about their respective creative processes.
We hope that releasing our stems will not only allow people to understand how our music was made, but also encourage other creatives to reflect on sharing their ideas.
