While often referred to as the spearhead of the chill wave last decade, American singer song writer, producer, Toro Y Moi 2022 has released music from various genres. He has announced a few headline shows down the East coast in November to coincide with his DJ support slots for the Flume mini festival Palaces tour and Spilt Milk Festival 2022 performance also in November. The stage name Toro Y Moi is a multilingual expression consisting of the Spanish words toro and y, meaning bull and and, and the French word moi, meaning me.
In 2016 Toro Y Moi performed in the Mojave desert without an audience, and 2022 sees the release of his 7th studio album Mahal, with already released singles including Postman, and the Loop. He also has a number of side projects including his alter ego Les Sins DJ and elctro music producer, and an ambient music and jazz series of releases. Ticket prices to the headline shows are around $70 for each venue.
