Tea Party 2017 Transmission 20th Anniversary Tour

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of their third album, Transmission, The Tea Party have announced a tour of Australia in October and November 2017. The tour will see the Canadian rockers play the album Transmission in entirety from October 27th to November 10th. The album contains hits like Temptation, Psychopomp, Release, Emerald and Transmission. The band have played around Australia numerous times, with Jeff Martin also playing a plethora of solo shows. “We went into the deepest, darkest depths to bring back the light,” explains vocalist Jeff Martin. “‘Psychopomp’ for example, provides a glimpse into the afterlife, ‘Army Ants’ echoes with imagery borrowed from the dystopian works of Aldous Huxley and George Orwell, while the album’s biggest hit ‘Temptation’ speaks to the all-consuming power of relentless desire.”

“It’s a pretty angry record,” adds drummer Jeff Burrows. “Jeff Martin was in a good head space, but he was going through a lot of personal things that brought out a lot of aggression.”

There will be pre sale tickets available for the Perth, Hobart, and Sydney shows through Ticketek, with pre sales for Adelaide, Melbourne, and Brisbane at Ticketmaster. Both pre sales kick off at 10am (AEST) Thursday 22nd June. Tickets for general public are available from 10am (AEST) Monday 26th June, with some meet and greet VIP packages being available.
