Springtime Festival 2022 is a free music festival on Surfer’s Paradise, Gold Coast Queensland from Friday September 2 to Sunday September 4. Developed by Major Events Gold Coast, Springtime Festival is a free music experience across multiple stages throughout Surfer’s Paradise to offset the rising cost of living.
The music festival will includes acts such as Skegss, Thelma Plum, Hermitude, JK-47, the Lazy Eyes, and so much more. There are some ticketed and some free sideshows along with the main events.

Springtime Festival 2022
SPRINGTIME Festival 2022 is coming to the Gold Coast 2-4 September 2022, featuring the best homegrown and national artists in leftfield alternative, electronic and hip hop.
Held on the beach and the streets of the Surfers Paradise, Major Events Gold Coast is excited to start the new season with a three-day music festival across multiple FREE outdoor stages.
We’re also proud to be partnering with the Gold Coast Music Awards 2022 to celebrate the creativity in the Gold Coast’s music sector and will be supporting local venues with official SPRINGTIME sideshows for paid ticketed offerings.

The G:link Light Rail operates throughout the Gold Coast, connecting Broadbeach to Surfers Parade, Southport and the Gold Coast University Hospital with 16 station stops.
Surfers Paradise has several stations allowing easy access to SPRINGTIME, your best stop, Cavill Avenue.
BY LOCAL BUS
If you are travelling from the Southern end of the Coast, you will need to catch the bus from the dry side of the highway and hop off at the Broadbeach South Tram Station Bus Interchange.
If you are travelling from Surfers Paradise or further north you can now catch the G:Link.

Is SPRINGTIME really a free festival?
That’s right! Our main lineup and outdoor stages are free to attend with no tickets needed.
The SPRINGTIME show at the Gold Coast Music Awards is a ticketed event and there are ticket sideshows with partner venues throughout Surfers Paradise to look out for.

GETTING READY FOR A GOOD TIME
Will there be accessible viewing areas at the festival?
Yes! There are accessible viewing areas throughout the festival that will be signed at the outdoor stages. For venues, please contact them directly for information regarding accessibility viewing.

What do I need to bring to Springtime Festival 2022?
No tickets are required for our outdoor stages.
But we recommend bringing your ID to gain entry into the surrounding Surfers Paradise venues when you keep the party going.
Can I bring alcohol?
Sorry! Unfortunately not. As SPRINGTIME’s outdoor stages are unlicensed, alcohol can only be consumed within licensed bar areas and venues.
Will there be security at the event?
We will have security based at each of the stages and roving throughout the festival footprint, supported by a Queensland Police Service team.

Does the festival accept food vendors and market stalls?
Thanks for wanting to get involved but SPRINGTIME operates in a precinct with a heap of good restaurants, cafes and bars. As a result, it’s unlikely that additional food vendors and markets stalls needed.
COVID
Will I need to show my vaccination status to attend the festival?
SPRINGTIME is guided by the requirements from the Queensland Government at the time of the festival.
As of 1AM AEST on 14 April 2022, the requirement to check-in and to be fully vaccinated in a range of venues and events came to an end. This means under the current health directive, SPRINGTIME attendees will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination for venues including indoor partnered sideshows.
If at any point Queensland Government requirements change, we will update you via our SPRINGTIME channels.
Is SPRINGTIME a COVID safe event?
We work hard to ensure that our Festival adheres to all Queensland Health COVID requirements. The health and safety of our attendees, volunteers and team is our top priority.
