Port Fairy Folk Festival 2017 will be the 41st installment of the festival since it’s inception many years ago. The festival usually has over 20 international acts and more than 100 Australian musical acts and performances. It begins on Friday afternoon on the 10th or March and runs until Monday afternoon on the 13th of March. The music will feature folk roots, blues, jazz, bluegrass, celtic roots, jazz, crossroads country and rock, and music of the world. There are many venues and stages with the main events occurring in the Festival Arena with 1o stages offering a wide variety of music. Most stages close by 1am. Port Fairy is a coastal town about 300km southwest of Melbourne and takes about 3.5 hours to drive from Melbourne.
