There were many Music Festivals 2022 throughout the year. This is an archive from 2022, although the beginning of the year is missing, most events were cancelled or rescheduled due to COVID 19. Early 2020 and 2021 was riddled with cancellations and postponement due to covid. Splendour in the Grass was the first large music festival to go ahead in 2022 after the pandemic.

Pigsty in July 2022 Dashville Hunter Valley NSW
Pigsty in July 2022 is back at Dashville in the Hunter Valley New South Wales in July. There is a live music festival on Friday the 1st to extend the party and then the Pigsty in July 2022 feast and music on Saturday with a two course dinner that can be pre purchased with your tickets. The event tickets include camping at the Dashville campgrounds. Tents can be hired at an additional cost.
The event is a licensed 18+ event, and there is no food or alcohol allowed to be brought in from outside the festival. Headlining is The Porkers, Money For Rope, The Laurels, and heaps more. Check the PigSty in July page for the full lineup.

Central Austria has its own festival, Blacken Open Air 2022. It is in Alice Springs, Northern Territory from Friday July 29 6:00pm to Monday August 1 2:00am, and kick out at midday Monday. There are 40 bands on the lineup for this heavy music festival. Topping the bill is Australias own Amyl The Sniffers and Psycroptic, while American technical death metal band, Revocation will be playing their only performance in Australia. Caloundra Music Festival 2022 QLD SEP-OCT
Over the long weekend, three epic days on three stages is Caloundra Music Festival 2022 on the Sunshine Coast Queensland from Friday September 30 to Sunday October 2. The festival is celebrating its 15th year and is at the grounds where it all started at the Kings Beach Amphitheatre, a picturesque beachside location.
Headlining the event is Art v Science, Baker Boy, Ben Lee, Client Liason, The Presets, Skunkhour, Vauderville Smash, the Waifs, and heaps more. After a little too long of a lack of live music, Someday Soon 2022 Festival aims to solve that gap with a music festival in Sydney on October 15. The music festival is a new one day festival put on by the University of Sydney Union (USU) and has a number of favourite Australian artists performing throughout the day and night. The famous wine festival, A Day On The Green 2022 is back with a few different lineups on offer. Firstly in September, there is classic iconic Aussie rockers Midnight Oil doing a day in Western Australian. They have stated it will be their last shows touring as a band. Next, Crowded House, supported by the Tesky Brothers and the Waifs will be doing a few days, then American rockers, The Killers, have two days lined up, one in Victoria, and one in Adelaide. FOTSUN 2022 DEC NSW Port Macq
Festival of the Sun or FOTSUN 2022 is back for a second installment this year after a previous event held in May. The Port Macquarie Boutique BYO Festival starts on Friday December 9 and runs til Saturday the 10th on the sands with art food and camping included at the beachside event. Camping is possible from the Thursday at an extra charge, or staying in more comfortable accommodation is also possible with everything within an easy 10 minute walk. There is also VIP tix with covered side stage viewing area Friday and Saturday, staff managed cloak room, meet and greets Thursday and exclusive after parties 11pm-1am. Back after a few years for its seventh installment, is Beyond The Valley 2022 Festival to see in the new year with a camping festival in a new home at Barunah Plains in Hesse, Victoria. Hesse is abut 125 km from Melbourne, North West of Geelong. The music festival begins on 28 December and runs until the early hours of new year’s day. There are three stages for music and a new podcast stage with recordings from all your favourite podcasters.
