In a sensational once-in-a-lifetime event, the Mushroom 50 Live Concert with a star-studded lineup of some of Australia’s most renowned music talents. The Australian artists are uniting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mushroom, the iconic independent music company. Plans for this extraordinary concert, in celebration of Mushroom’s founding by the legendary Michael Gudinski, were first announced in March. Now, the event’s details are confirmed. With an all-star cast set to take center stage at Naarm / Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on November 26. UPDATE: Some new artists added to the lineup.
Mushroom 50 Live All-Star Lineup
The impressive line-up is an assembly of past and present Mushroom label stars. The list includes iconic Australian rock legends such as Jimmy Barnes, Hunters & Collectors. Ross Wilson (of Daddy Cool fame), Ian Moss from Cold Chisel, along with celebrated songwriters like Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins. Dan Sultan, and recent Australian Women In Music Award winners Kate Ceberano and Vika & Linda. The roster also boasts contemporary favorites like Amy Shark and The Temper Trap, as well as blockbuster acts DMA’S. Gordi, The Rubens, and merci, mercy, and many more.
50 Songs for 50 Years
Performing ’50 Songs for 50 Years,’ these artists will deliver a mix of originals and classics from Mushroom’s illustrious catalog. Featuring hits like ‘Riptide,’ ‘Holy Grail,’ ‘Working Class Man,’ ‘Before Too Long,’ ‘Living In The 70s,’ ‘Sweet Disposition,’ and more. Expect exciting collaborations among these multi-generational talents on the stage.
Mushroom 50 Live
As part of the 50th-anniversary festivities, Mushroom has released a series of cover versions featuring its talented roster. These renditions, including Paul Kelly’s ‘Alone With You,’ Dan Sultan’s re-imagining of ‘Took The Children Away,’ and more, may come to life on the Rod Laver Arena stage. Additionally, special performances and messages from the extended Mushroom family will add to the magic of the night.

Mushroom 50 Live Legacy
The Mushroom 50 concert follows the nationwide release of “Ego: The Michael Gudinski Story”. A documentary chronicling the remarkable life and groundbreaking legacy of the Mushroom mogul. It continues the tradition of Mushroom’s grand birthday bashes, including the historic 10th-anniversary concert in 1983 and the massive Mushroom 25 Live event in 1998.
