The lineup includes electronic legends, indie royalty, and hip hop heavyweights taking over the Observatory Precinct. The Live at the Gardens 2026 Breakdown
The season kicks off on Friday, 6 March with the incredible Marlon Williams. Known for his swooning croon and magnetic stage presence, Williams is a master of atmosphere. He is joined by soul powerhouse Emma Donovan and the smooth sounds of Kee’ahn. Expect a night of deep emotion and storytelling under the trees.
Weekend Celebrations
Things pick up the pace on Saturday, 7 March. Thelma Plum brings her heartfelt anthems to the stage. Her live shows are always a mix of vulnerability and pure pop joy. Folk-pop favourites Sons of the East and rising star Jem Cassar-Daley round out a bill that screams perfect Saturday vibes.
Electronic music fans need to mark Sunday, 8 March in their calendars immediately. British titans Leftfield will unleash their bass-heavy, immersive soundscapes on the gardens. This is a rare chance to see the pioneers of progressive house in such a unique open-air venue. Australian dance royalty Paul Mac and disco king Late Nite Tuff Guy ensure the dancefloor stays full all evening.
The party vibes continue into the next week. On Friday, 13 March, Cut Copy brings their euphoric synth-pop to the lawn. You know it will be a sweaty, hands-in-the-air affair when they drop “Lights & Music”. They have curated a killer support bill too. Finally, the series closes with a bang on Sunday, 15 March. Australian hip-hop icons Bliss N Eso will bring their high-energy show to the stage. These guys know how to work a crowd like no one else. They are bringing along lyrical master Drapht and the dynamic duo Horrorshow for a massive celebration of local rhymes and beats.
