There are many Gigs and music festivals in September around Australia and New Zealand. September is the beginning of autumn in the southern states and can get some rain. The AFL Grand Final is the last weekend of September every year. The northern parts of Queensland and the Northern Territory are still quite dry and still a perfect time for outdoor festivals, as the dry season finishes up.
