Angus from Angus & Julia Stone has a side project called Dope Lemon and will tour Australia in 2017. The tour will see a few shows leading up to their performance at Splendour in the Grass in July. After three years in the making, Dope Lemon’s debut album has been released, titled Honey Bones and was recorded at Angus Stone’s personal recording studio Belafonte Studios.

Dope Lemon have a psychedelic sound, which as Angus says: “it is a reflection of existence, in a world where reality and fantasy, creativity and practicality flow together unobstructed, to form things tangible but that feel like a dream.” The band played a few small shows late 2016, and have been putting in a lot of time at the recording studio on Angus Stone’s property.
