After havoc from the rone, Bluesfest 2023 is back in fine form with a first announcement of lineup acts to blow your mind. The music festival in Byron Bay NSW open their gates at 2:00pm Thursday 6 April and music finishes 11:59pm on Monday 10 April at Byron Events Farm Tyagarah Byron Bay. This should make for the perfect Easter long weekend with friends and family. Check below for the full lineup and which days each act are playing, plus ticket links.
UPDATE: There are also two Bluesfest satellite events happening, one in Perth on April 1 and one on the other side of the country in Melbourne on April 8 and 9. The Perth event is 8 hours of music on three stages, while Melbourne has multiple indoor theatres and stages.

What To Expect – Bluesfest 2023
The iconic Blues and Roots festival also include world class hip hop, reggae and other genres of quality music. The evnt is all ages with camping available at an extra charge. There is also a VIP lounge which is strickly 18+ with drinks and food not included in the VIP upgrade. The festival has invested $500,000 in making the festival waterproof over the last year which is great news for rainy days and will also help with some extra shade on the hotter days.
Bluesfest 2023 Headliners
Headling the music festival in northern New South Wales are a stack of internationals and favourite Aussie performers. Names include in the first announcement Jackson Browne, Michael Franti with Spearhead, Greensky Bluegrass, Joe Bonamassa, King Gizzard & The Lizzard Wizard, Xavier Rudd, Tash Sultana, Gang of Youths, Cat Empire, and old school Aussie rockers Chain. There is also a Hip Hop super group announced The Soul Rebels & Friends with special guests the GZA, Talib Kweli, and Big Freedia so get excited.
Bluesfest 2023 Ticket Options
Ticket prices are around $700 for adults for the five day pass, $640 for youths 15-17, and children 6-14 $115. Children 0-5 free. VIP upgrades are an extra $450 and only available for adults 18+. Camping for 15+ is about $300 and children 6-14 $100. For an extra $560-$1200 2-6 people can get it all sorted with glamping tent options or $1200-$1750 for 3-5 in a teepee glamping provided they already have entry and camping tickets. Extra long vehicles 6m-9.5m need to purchase a large vehicle pass for $270. Five day vehicle day parking costs just under $105. Individual day tickets may become available provided the five day ones don’t sell out first, so get em while their hot!
Bluesfest Satellite Events & sideshows
Stay tuned for further announcements on two special satellite events in Melbourne and Perth, plus side shows from some of these amazing artists. Hmm, special satellite events. Is this a test bed for moving the event due to an unaccommodating NSW government and weather in recent years? Or it could just be a way to avoid issues of closure in the future. Either way, peeps in burn city and Perth are extra lucky next year and maybe years to come.
