One of the worlds most remote music festivals is back with the Big Red Bash 2022. Festival in Birdsville Queensland July 5-7 and Broken Hill NSW Aug 18-20. The Birdsville festival is set in the Simpson Desert. While the Broken Hill music festival is on the Mundi Mundi Plains.
The events will bring acts such as Jimmy Barnes, Missy Higgins, Richard Clapton, Jon Stevens. The Rolling Stones Revue staring Adalita, Tex Perkins, and Tim Rogers. The Broken Hill Bash hasan appearance by Midnight Oil, and both have stacks more acts.

The Big Red Bash is the world’s most remote major music festival set at the Big Red Dune. 35km west of Birdsville, QLD on the eastern edge of the Simpson Desert.
Staged in July each year. And drawing a family (and dog!) friendly crowd of around 10,000 people from every corner of Australia. The Big Red Bash is a bucket list event you simply must tick off! Our stellar line up of iconic Australian musicians. Compliment this amazing outback setting which is bound to leave you wanting more! What could possibly be better than sitting under the big outback starry sky, rocking to the likes of Midnight Oil. Paul Kelly, Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, Missy Higgins. Whether you are coming from the north, south, east or west there are many outback travelling routes that lead to Birdsville. And the outback road trip is all part of the adventure.

Set up camp for 3 nights at the base of Big Red which transforms into ‘Bashville’. The temporary mini town with its own network of roads and pathways. The campsites are spacious and the festival site is suitable for all types of campers. Caravans, camper trailers, tents and swags or bring your big rig! Kick back and relax, enjoy the big blue skies by day and the brightest starlit skies by night. The spectacular sunrise and sunsets, the sweeping vistas and stunning red dunes. The Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash. Australia’s newest outback music festival is brought to you by the producers of the iconic Birdsville Big Red Bash. Set on the stunning red dirt of the Mundi Mundi Plains with the beautiful Barrier Ranges as a backdrop. The Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash is set to bring the New South Wales outback alive! Located just 35km outside Broken Hill on sealed roads. It’s easily accessible by any 2 wheel drive vehicle, caravan, motorhome or whatever your mode of travel is.
The festival will bring a stellar line up of Australian rock legends to the historic. Broken Hill region which has so much to offer those looking for history.
